Supply, fit and setup · London

Motorised blinds, fitted and set up properly.

We measure, supply and install motorised blinds across London, then wire them into Alexa, Google Home, HomeKit or Matter before we leave. Every job starts with a free home visit.

What a motorised blind actually does

It moves on its own.

A motor sits in the head rail and drives the blind up and down. You set a position from your phone, your voice, a wall switch or a schedule. No chain, no cord, nothing hanging down the side of the window.

Li-ion battery or 240V hard-wired

It runs to a schedule.

Down at sunset, up at seven, halfway when the afternoon sun hits the back of the house. We set the first schedules on the day we fit and write them down for you. You change them whenever you like.

Time, sunrise/sunset, or a sun sensor

Then you forget about it.

Around 35 dB at one metre — you hear it in an empty room and nowhere else. A battery motor gets charged about twice a year. A hard-wired one gets nothing.

≈35 dB at 1m · charge 2× a year

Smart home

Someone has probably told you blinds won’t integrate. They will.

We set this up on every job and hand the house over working. Here is what each platform does, and where each one stops.

Amazon Alexa

You say or tap
“Alexa, close the blinds in the living room.”
What works
Single blinds, rooms and groups. Percentage positions — “set the kitchen blind to 40%”. Alexa Routines can run them on sunset, on an alarm, or on a door contact.
What we tell you up front
Alexa will not report a battery motor’s charge level. We put the low-charge alert in the manufacturer’s app and set it up on your phone before we leave.

Google Home

You say or tap
“Hey Google, open the kitchen blind.”
What works
The same: individual blinds, rooms, groups and percentages. Household Routines run them on a schedule, on sunrise and sunset, or when you say goodnight.
What we tell you up front
Google’s sunset trigger uses your home address, not the room. A west-facing room needs its own time, so we set that one in the hub instead of in Google.

Apple HomeKit

You say or tap
Home app tiles, Control Centre, Siri, and a shortcut on your lock screen.
What works
Automations on time, on sunrise and sunset, on arriving and leaving, and off other accessories. Blinds appear as proper window covering tiles with a drag-to-position slider.
What we tell you up front
HomeKit needs a home hub — a HomePod, HomePod mini or Apple TV — before anything runs while you are out. If you have not got one, we tell you at the visit, not after the install.

Matter

You say or tap
Pair once, and it shows up in all four.
What works
Matter-certified motors over Thread or Wi-Fi join Alexa, Google, HomeKit and SmartThings at the same time, with no vendor bridge sitting in the middle.
What we tell you up front
Worth specifying on a new install. Not worth ripping out motors that already work — we will say so rather than sell you a second set.

Four things we check on the visit

Wi-Fi
Whether your router still broadcasts 2.4GHz, and whether the mesh hides it. Most motors need that band.
Hub
Whether you already own something that can act as a home hub, or need one adding.
Power
Where the mains run is, if you want hard-wired motors. Usually decided before the plastering.
Reveal
Depth of the recess, and whether the head rail fits inside it or has to face-fix.

Not sure what you have got? Ring us on 07351 670064 and describe the setup. It takes two minutes to tell you whether it will work.

Process

Four steps, and you get a date at each one.

  1. Visit

    Usually within a week

We come to you, look at every window, and talk through what you want the blinds to do. We bring fabric samples and a working motor so you can hear how loud it is. About an hour, free, and you get the price the same day — there is no second appointment to sit through.

  2. Measure

    Same visit

Every window measured to the millimetre. Recess or face-fix decided window by window, and the power route agreed — battery, or mains if the walls are still open. We write down which ecosystem you are on and what hub you have.

  3. Order

    2–3 weeks

Blinds are made to your measurements. We give you the fitting date when the order goes in, not when it turns up. If anything comes back wrong we remake it at our cost and tell you the day we find out.

  4. Fit

    One day for most homes

We fit, charge, pair every blind to your hub, name them room by room and set your first schedules before we leave. You get a printed sheet of what is called what. Two years on the motors, and we come back if a schedule needs changing.

Reviews

What people said afterwards

4.8 average · 47 reviews · Google

  • Two blind companies told us motors would not work with our HomeKit setup. Remote Blinds turned up, looked at the router, and explained exactly why the other quotes had gone wrong. Nine blinds fitted in a day and Siri controls them from the front door.

Hannah W.Victorian terrace, Crouch End — 9 windows
  • Booked a visit on the Tuesday, measured on the Friday, fitted three weeks later. Price on the day was the price on the invoice. They set the schedules before leaving and wrote them down for us.

David OseiNew build flat, Nine Elms — 6 windows
  • We have a big south-facing kitchen extension and the glare was unusable by 3pm. They fitted two wide blinds on hard-wired motors and set them to drop halfway on a sun sensor. Room is usable all afternoon now.

Priya R.Extension, Wandsworth — 2 wide roller blinds
  • Fitting was clean and the Alexa side works properly. One blind arrived 8mm narrow and they remade it at their cost, though that added two weeks. Told us straight away rather than trying to fit it.

    Mark EllerySemi-detached, Barnet — 12 windows

We will give you two numbers of recent customers within a mile of you on the visit, if you want to ring them.

Book a visit

Free home visit. About an hour.

Made-to-measure blinds cannot be priced from a website — every window is a different size and every house has a different way of getting power to it. So we come and look, and you get a fixed price on the day.

Rather talk to someone? Ring 07351 670064. Mon–Fri 8am–6pm, Sat 9am–2pm.

House or flat

Bay windows, roof lights, wide spans, which hub you already own — anything that helps us turn up prepared.

We use this to book the visit and nothing else. No mailing list.
